Samar Trail Jabal Jais

This trail takes hikers on a journey through a classic desert mountain landscape, offering stunning, wide-open views of the deep valleys and the famous, winding Jebel Jais road below. The main highlight is hiking through the ruins of an ancient mountain settlement, where hikers can explore the historic stone houses and terraced farms that were once used by the local Bedouin tribes, who have inhabited these mountains for generations. Visitors walk through a landscape of hardy native plants, including the Sidr tree, and have a great chance of spotting local wildlife, such as mountain goats.
